Three Libyan soldiers have been killed during the battles witnessed in the western side of Benghazi against the remnants of the extremist groups existed the city, while seven others were injured.

Spokesperson of Libya's special forces Melod Al Zawy said that they resume their fight against terrorism promising to control the area during the coming two days. He added the Libyan troops managed to besiege the extremist elements inside the city

In the same context, a report issued by the United Nations praised the trial of former Libyan leader Muammar Al Ghaddaffi's second son Seif Al Islam and 36 members of the former regime. It said that the trial reflects the increasing efforts exerted by the Libyan judiciary to take the measures against those people who committed crimes against the Libyan people.

However, the report underlined the failures of Libya's Judicial authorities to meet the international standards of justice, saying that the Libyan government failed to arrest Seif Al Islam who is still existed in Zantan. It added that the trial of former regime's elements during the current political division witnessed in the country poses serious challenge against the Libyan authorities.

The report also raised what it described as violations to the legal measures should be taken to ensure the fair trial, including the claims over torture of defendants and complaints that the authorities prevent them from meeting with their lawyerys.

U.N. Human Rights Commissioner Zeid Raad Al Hussein described the trial as a lost opportunity to achieve justice and to allow the Libyan people see a fair trial against the members of the former regime. He called the Libyan officials to take into account these violations and to correct them to meet the international standards of justice. It stressed the need for surrendering Seif Al Islam to the International Criminal Court.

The son of former Libyan leader is currently imprisoned in Zantan's mountainous area under the control of one of the Libyan factions which refuse to surrender him to the Libyan authorities due the lack of confidence that he will not escape from Tripoli's authority.
