Damascus - Noura Khowam

Warplanes carried out more raids targeting Rahjan village and other areas in the northern countryside of Hama, while the violent clashes continues between the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in areas in the northeastern countryside of Hama.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned the violent clashes between both parties are concentrated in the vicinity of the villages of Jeb Abyad and Shahatiyyah which are controlled by the regime forces, after a counterattack by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham on the area in an attempt to regain control of both of them. Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham started their offensive by detonating a booby trapped vehicle targeting sites of the regime forces, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

The continuous clashes are accompanied by shelling by the regime forces on areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and exchange targeting on the contact areas between both parties.

In the past few hours, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that warplanes and helicopters are still flying in the northeastern countryside of Hama and they almost have never left it since the midnight of Sunday the 22nd of October 2017, during which the Syrian Observatory documented the targeting of these warplanes by more than 310 airstrikes on places controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.

As the “Islamic State” organization disparately continues to repel the advancement of the regime forces towards its largest stronghold in Syria, which is the Bokamal city on the border with Iraq, the organization is fighting violently by carrying out violent, sudden and counter attacks targeting the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in different areas.

A man and his wife (a teacher) were killed targeting Muhradah town by several shells by the factions, where they targeted areas in the town controlled by the regime forces in the northwestern countryside of Hama, also the targeting wounded several other people.

areas in the towns of Zitan and Khalsa in the southern countryside of Aleppo were shelled by the regime forces, which caused material damage but no information about casualties.

An explosion was heard in the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah city, caused by a mine explosion in Ratla village which killed a woman and her daughter in addition to another woman, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 164 civilians including 39 children and 10 women.

Areas in the Beit Jen town and its surroundings and farms were shelled by the regime forces, in conjunction with a dropping barrel bombs by helicopter on areas southwest of Rif Dimashq, which caused more destruction to the property of citizens, and the Syrian Observatory was published on the 26th of this month that the southwest of Rif Dimashq is witnessing intense shelling by the regime forces using rocket and artillery shells, in conjunction with the continuous and violent bombing by the helicopters on areas in Beit Jen and its farms, as well as other areas in the southwest of Rif Dimashq, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on Thursday the 26th of October 2017 regime’s helicopters dropping about 50 barrel bombs targeting areas at Beit Jen farm and other areas near it.

This intensive bombardment which has been taking place for weeks on the southwest of Rif Dimashq, comes within the preparations for a massive military operation the regime forces aim to launch in the area, in order to advance and fully control it, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored regime’s helicopters dropping more than 360 barrel bombs and hundreds of rocket.
