The Awqaf directorate in al Khalil urged preachers and imams to stay at Ibrahimi Mosque in order to protect it against Jewish settlers and foil their schemes to Judaize it.
In a press release Monday, the Awqaf directorate pointed out to the importance of Ibrahimi Mosque and its status among Muslims.
Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday ordered the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the West Bank city of Hebron for two days to allow Jews to celebrate the Jewish Passover holiday.
