Nouakchott – Mohamed Shina
Mauritanian Foreign Minister Hamadi Ould Baba Ould Hamadi Nouakchott – Mohamed Shina The Mauritanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly criticised the demonstrations organised by  groups in front of a number of Gulf embassies in Nouakchott – ?particularly the embassies of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and Egypt - in support of ousted Egyptian ?president Mohammed Morsi.
The ministry issued a statement in which it described the protests as "shameful and unacceptable".?
The demonstrators had gathered to condemn the Arab Gulf countries' support of the new regime in Egypt.?
The Mauritanian Foreign Minister Hamadi Ould Baba Ould Hamadi met ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Egypt in Nouakchott on Thursday.
The ministry said the demonstrations are an insult to the leaderships of countries for whom Mauritania only has "love and respect." It urged political groups to condemn the rallies, claiming that they have nothing to ?do with the Arab conscious or Islamic values and morals.
The state accused Muslim Brotherhood supporters of violating the sanctity and respect for diplomatic missions in Mauritania, expressing extreme sorrow at the "irresponsible actions".
