Local Council of Bousleim town announced the cease-fire between Tripoli's conflicting parties as a joint force has been formed from the ministries of Defense and Interior related to the internationally-recognized accordance government to protect the area from any potential attacks. However, the conflicting militias withdrew to their headquarters surrendering the sites they controlled during the fight to the joint force.

The local council hosted the meeting attended by members of the conflicting national accordance government and salvation government in addition the country's security leaders to discuss the security situation and the possibility to cease fire. The organizers of the meeting called for withdrawing the militants to pave the way for implementing the agreement.

On his hand, U.N. Envoy to Libya Martin Kobler stressed the need for implementing a truce and conducting a national dialogue, raising the necessity of protecting the civilians and their possessions. He expressed deep concern over the clashes witnessed recently in the Libyan capital as they led to the killing of six persons, including two civilians.

Sources revealed that Bousleim hospital received a large number of injured people, saying that there is no formal statistics over the number of injured or killed people. Libyan Red Crescent revealed that they exert increasing efforts to evacuate the area from the residents.
