The same source confirmed that Prime Minister Abdullah Al Nassour congratulated the party immediately after the announcement of the results. The source asserts that the powers of the king were reduced in the Jordanian Constitution.
The source claimed the the Islamic Wasat is looking to become a viable alternative to the Islamist movement in the political process. He also confirmed that Zamzam Initiative, with its 300 members emerged from the Islamic Wasat, seeks to spread moderate Islamism.
Zaki Bani Irsheid, a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood's political arm, the Islamic Action Front, said that the recent elections are forged, confirming that the regime is rigging parliament.
The Muslim Brotherhood boycotted the last election because the laws which it said would manipulate the will of the voters and establish a weak parliament.
