American troops resume their operations against Qaeda

American fighter jets resumed the bombardment of sites and targets related to Qaeda extremist group in Yemen. Meanwhile, Houthi militants expressed their readiness to coordinate with Washington in the military operations conducted against the strongholds of the extremist group in Yemen. American drones launched missiles against Qaeda’s targets in the country on Monday.
Local residents said that an airstrike targeted a housing building suspected to be possessed by Qaeda’s leading member in a village of Beida governorate, adding that they also targeted mountainous areas thought to be a training camp in Shabu governorate.
There are no reports over the injuries in the sites targeted by the American raids on Monday, as these raids came in coincidence with the increasing concern of American authorities from the influence of Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula.
On its hand, Houthi Foreign Ministry, led by Abdel Aziz Bin Habtour, condemned the American interference in Yemen, stressing that the U.S Administration should not take individual steps in Yemen on the military side. It stressed readiness to cooperate with the American troops during the coming operations.
The Houthi Foreign Ministry in Yemen stressed that the American raids will not achieve their objectives to eliminate Qaeda due to the absence of security coordination with the authorities controlling the areas in the country.
He added, “We reminded the friends in Washington that Yemen is still sovereign and independent country which has its elected parliament. It is committed to the performance of its role to combat Qaeda and other extremist groups. The National Salvation government and their military and popular commissions are capable to eliminate the extremist groups.”
