Virgin Australia has unveiled
London - Arab Today

Virgin Australia has unveiled a major redesign of the business class cabins onboard its twin-aisle fleet of aircraft.
The redesign involves the introduction of “suite-style” seating in business class. Configured in a 1-2-1 layout, all seats have either window or aisle access and convert to form two-metre-long fully flat beds. Seat amenities include touch-screen in-flight entertainment systems, multiple light settings and storage, while each seat will also come with a unique tablet holder.
In addition to the new seats, the business class bars onboard all wide-body jets will also be revamped.
“Today marks a new era for our premium customer experience both domestically and internationally. We believe the sophisticated new suites will set a new standard in business class travel, not just in Australia but around the world,” said Virgin Australia’s CEO, John Borghetti.
“Our ‘Virgin Vision’ to 2017 is to become Australia’s favourite airline group and today’s announcement is central to our strategy as it will see Virgin Australia deliver the best premium travel experience in Australia. We are committed to maintaining a competitive advantage in customer experience in order to ensure that Virgin Australia is the number one choice for premium travellers”, he added.
The new business class seats will be rolled out onboard Virgin Australia’s Airbus A330 fleet from early 2015. The first aircraft is expected to be in service by March next year, and the complete refit of the A330 fleet will be finalised by August.
The revamp of the airline’s Boeing 777 fleet will then commence from November 2015, and is expected to be complete by early 2016.
