The Netherlands-based Doedijns Groups, a prominent player in the energy and petrochemical sector, the maritime and dredging industry and high-end machine building, on Monday announced the official opening of its new premises in Dubai to strengthen its presence in the region. Doedijns Middle East & Africa FZE will offer its clients local production and assembly possibilities and access to the Doedijns products and services portfolio including its four proprietary technologies — oil filtration systems, temperature sensors, compact actuators and sampling systems. Doedijns facility located in the ‘Jebel Ali Free zone’ district of Dubai will be headed by Rakesh Surti, as Managing Director. “Opening our Middle East & African head quarters in Dubai represents another milestone in our global growth strategy to maximise our customer services worldwide, providing the innovative hydraulics, pneumatics, instrumentation control solutions. We are planning to focus in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Iraq and Libya. Driven by  the long term strategy, our Dubai subsidiary will eventually invest in Saudi Aramco,” Juul IJzermans, Doedijns CEO, told Khaleej Times. The company made acquisition of  Wilmax Control Systems, a Singapore-based engineering company and is open to similar business proposition in UAE. “We are also open to merger and acquisition in UAE, particularly in oil and gas and maritime industry,” IJzermans said. Doedijns ME&A FZE is planning to concentrate on Saudi Arabia, Oman and Iraq with a business target of  up to €30 million by 2016. “We opted to move to Dubai, because it allows us to attract quality staff, customer-friendly free zone facilties a which helps us to connect throughout ME,” IJzermans concluded.
