Marlborough - UPI

Fifteen U.S. Marine air traffic landing systems will continue to receive engineering, technical support and depot services support from Raytheon. The value of the two-year contract extension in support of Air Traffic, Navigation, Integration and Coordination Systems is $7 million. Work includes refurbishment of legacy ATNAVICS equipment. Raytheon's ATNAVICS is a mobile system that provides air traffic services for the rapid deployment of troops and equipment to locations where no operational airport control and landing system exists. Raytheon said as few as four people can set up the system in less than an hour. "Under this contract, U.S. Marine Corps field support teams will collaborate with Raytheon system experts to ensure successful deployment in a variety of challenging environments affected by geography, weather and changing battlefield conditions," said Mike Prout, vice president of Security and Transportation Systems for Raytheon's Network Centric Systems business. Raytheon said the work will be performed in Massachusetts, Florida and Maryland.
