Dahab
Berlin - MENA

More tourists are expected in South Sinai after the German government lifted the travel ban, the tourist counselor at the Egyptian Embassy here said.
Mohammed Gamal told MENA that tireless efforts by the Egyptian embassy in Berlin and the Foreign Ministry were behind the travel ban lifting.
"We organized a diving competition for more than 100 media people, including German ones, in Dahab and it succeeded in an unprecedented way. The event was covered in a good way that gave an impression on the level of security in Sharm el Sheikh."
Also, a German security delegation visited Sharm el Sheikh lately and made a very positive report, he added.
"Now, we only have a German travel ban to North Sinai and we will work hard within the coming period on reducing the warning," he added.
