Malfunction causes partial halt on metro line 1

Movement on underground Metro Line 1 partially stopped between Dar el Salaam and Malak Saleh stations following a technical malfunction in one of the trains.
Spokesman for the Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation Ahmed Abdel Hadi said in statements on Tuesday that the train suffered a major brake failure, causing a temporary halt.
Abdel Hadi added the train is now being pulled off the rails to bring back the movement to normal.
