Kuwait - KUNA
Kuwait International Airport is witnessing these days record rise of the number of incoming and outgoing flights coinciding with the peak of the summer season, said the director of operations at the airport. Issam Al-Zamel, in a statement to KUNA on Thursday, said the airport would receive, since Wednesday till July 4, 543 flights, compared to 554 outgoing trips. Number of the passeners traveling to Kuwait has reached 495,222 and those departing the air facility 67,375, he added. Al-Zamel forecast further hike of the number of flights next month, ahead of the upcoming fasting month of Ramadan falling in early August. He also urged passengers to be present at the airport at least three hours ahead of the schedule of take-offs to cope with the heavy crowd.
