InterContinental Hua Hin Resort

The first InterContinental resort in Thailand, this place opened to the public in December 2009, featuring 119 rooms and three beachfront villas. A contemporary interpretation of Thai-Victorian design, its look was inspired by the wooden summer palace, commissioned by King Rama VI, just a short drive away. The resort offers five-star hospitality with a touch of Thainess in its recreational activities, such as giving alms to local monks to start the day. Its powdery private beach is clean and serene, making it a perfect spot for enjoying the sea breeze or even restoring your natural balance by taking part in the al fresco yoga class held there every morning. One of the most outstanding features of the resort is its swimming pool, set amidst landscaped tropical patios. There are shallow areas with seats for having a lazy time in the sun, plus a children's pool and a beachfront pool for enjoying the beautiful scenery. The ordinary rooms here are rather spacious compared to those in other properties on this expensive beachfront strip. The decor is airy enough to complement the big, comfy bed.
