Germany plans travel ban
Berlin - MENA

Germany is to seize the identity cards of radical Islamists it suspects of planning to travel to Syria or Iraq, Euronews reported.
Intelligence officials think around 450 people have left the country to join the militant group ISIL (DAESH).
Current law allows the seizure of passports, but new rules will also prevent ID cards being used to travel to European countries including Turkey which borders Iraq and Syria.
Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said they would confiscate identity cards and issue a replacement document, which would not permit international travel.
Germany’s 16 federal states have agreed to boost information-sharing on radical Islamists in Germany
