Jeddah - Arabstoday

The General Authority of Civil Aviation has said services at the Kingdom’s airports did not match its expectations.“Some airports face problems because of overcrowding of passengers,” said Khaled Al-Khaibary, GACA’s spokesman.“There are other airports that have not witnessed any substantial development during the past three decades,” he said in a statement carried by Al-Jazirah Arabic daily on Sunday. “Some airport services are provided by agencies other than GACA,” he pointed out.Al-Khaibary said the new expansion project at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah would eliminate the airport’s existing problems. “We will go ahead with our development plans to improve services at airports to win the satisfaction of passengers, meeting their rights and requirements,” he said.
