Reliant up the directives from His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Deputy Premier, a foundation training course on airport operations was conducted at the Singaporean Civil Aviation Academy in coordination with the Civil Aviation Affairs during the period 17-19 October 2011 for Bahraini cadres in accordance with international requirements. Specialist staff from various companies operating in Bahrain International Airport – such as Bahrain Airport Company, Bahrain Airport Fuel Supply company, DHL, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) – as well as the Customs Affairs and the Bahraini Air Force.The course participants discussed with Singaporean civil aviation experts the latest developments in the field and the challenges facing aviation world and airport management. They also met with officials of Changi Airport and discussed their experience in airport management and the latest technologies.The training course is the first of its kind in the field of civil aviation and it is expected to reap positive results for the employees of Bahrain International Airport and the Civil Aviation Affairs, airport security and operation as well as raising the standard of airport services in Bahrain International Airport. The participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa the Deputy Premier for giving them this opportunity and promised to exert their maximum efforts in order to achieve the goals of the foundation training course.
