Beijing - QNA
Chinese travel agencies halted all tours to the Philippines, saying they will not accept bookings until the tensions between china and Philippines over Huangyan Island ease, Chinese media reported Thursday. Travel agencies also suspended the trips customers already booked to Philippines and promised them refunds. China’s news agency (Xinhua) said the Chinese embassy to the Philippines as well warned its citizens in Manila to stay off the streets during planned anti-China protests expected to take place on Friday. According to the Philippine Star today, the Philippine government meanwhile has reiterated it will not attempt to go in a war against China over the Huangyan Island dispute, looking forward a diplomatic solution to it. China and Philippines have been in disputes over Huangyan island that belongs to Scarborough Shoal, a group of islands located between China and the Philippines. (QNA)
