As many as 54,000 passengers have arrived at and left Red Sea ports during October, Spokesman for Red Sea Ports Authority Malak Youssef said on Tuesday.

Thirty-five thousand passengers arrived at and left Safaga port, while Nuweiba port saw the arrival and departure of 17,000 passengers, Youssef noted, adding that 2,000 passengers arrived at and left Hurghada port.

Meanwhile, Matrouh Security Chief Maj. Gen. Mokhtar el Sanbarawy said that the arrival and departure procedures of 205 trucks coming from Libya via Salloum crossing have been finalized over the past 24 hours.

He added that the departure procedures of 73 trucks laden with food supplies, construction materials and marble through Salloum Crossing have been finalized.
