As many as 299 Egyptians returned home from Libya, while 165 traveled to the Arab country via Salloum crossing within the past 24 hours, said Marsa Matrouh Security Chief Hesham Lofty.

Out of all the returnees, 205 Egyptians came back legally, while the rest returned illegally, he noted in statements on Thursday.

The travel measures for 419 persons, including 165 Egyptians and 254 Libyans, were swiftly finalized.
