11 air balloon flights take off in Luxor

Eleven air balloon flights took off in Luxor, carrying 202 tourists of various nationalities, head of the union of air balloon companies in Luxor Ahmed Abboud said.
On Thursday, the civil aviation authority cancelled hot air balloon flights in Luxor city due to high winds.
The flights, operated by several travel agencies, flew over the city's archaeological sites, he added.
Air balloon flights are expected to increase during the coming days with the growing number of charter and direct flights with foreign tourists on board, in addition to Egyptian visitors to the city, Abboud said.
