President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi
Sharm el-Sheikh - MENA

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will open on Wednesday the third COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Summit.

Twenty five African countries are due to take part in the gathering, which will be held in Sharm el Sheikh city.

Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said a deal to establish a free trade zone between COMESA, EAC and SADC will be signed during the summit.

Egypt's hosting of the summit reflects its keenness on applying the political, economic, social and cultural openness policy in Africa, he added.

On the sidelines of the summit, Sisi will meet a number of African leaders as well as the president of the World Bank Group.
