PNC preparatory committee to meet in Beirut next week

Chairman of the Palestinian National Council Salim Zaanoun sent letters to members of a PNC preparatory committee to meet in Beirut, Lebanon, on January 10-11.
The call followed consultations with Palestinian factions, including Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, Zaanoun said in press statements in Amman Sunday.
The meeting next week will focus on efforts to resume negotiations to hold a successful regular session of the PNC that would lead to restoring Palestinian political unity, Zaanoun said.
