Government, People's Movement affirm readiness for negotiation in February

The Government and the People's Movement -North Sector of Abdul-Aziz Al-Helo faction underscored readiness to sit for negotiation in the first week of coming February.
Ambassador of the Inter-Governmental Authority for Development (IGAD) to Khartoum, Lisan Yohans said in press statements after meeting in the Republican Place, Thursday the Assistant of the President of the Republic and Head of Government delegation to negotiations , Ibrahim Mahmoud that the negotiations would begin in the first week of coming February and that the first round of talks would center on cessation of hostilities and then would be followed by political talks.
" I have conveyed to Head of Government delegation readiness of People's Movement -Al-Helo faction to sit for talks with the Government as the Chief Government negotiator underlined readiness of delegation of the government to sit with the Movement for negotiation to achieve stability, and peace in the country .
