Turkey announced on Monday it will extend the state of emergency, which was declared following a failed military coup on the country.

Ankara is launching a massive crackdown on the movement , led by US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus told reporters after a weekly cabinet meeting on Monday that the government is extending the state of emergency for 90 days starting from October 19.
