Olympic council of Asia regional forum to kick off Friday in Doha

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Regional Forum for Middle and West Asian countries will kick off Friday in Doha from May 20-22 at Wyndham Grand Regency Hotel.

    The forum is one of the biggest OCA events and will bring together 19 countries from Middle and West Asian countries. The number of participants reached 76 representatives, including 43 participants from Olympic Committees and 33 participants from Organizing Committees of Combined Games.

    The International Olympic Committee will participate in the OCA Regional Forum, represented by Olympic Solidarity Commission to deliver a presentation on about the Olympic Solidarity programs and assistance provided to the national Olympic committees in the region.

    Prior to the Delegation Registration Meeting (Pre DRM) for Rio Olympic Games 2016 will be held during the Forum. Presentation from the Organizing Committee of the Asian Beach Games - Vietnam 2016, Olympic Games for - Russia 2016, Asian Winter Games - Japan 2017 and Asian Games - Indonesia 2018 will participate in the Forum to make presentations about these games.
