Lavrov to visit China next week

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will make an official visit to China on April 28-29, Russian Foreign Ministry official spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Thursday. 
"Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will make an official visit to China on April 28-29. On April 28, he will take part in the fifth meeting of foreign ministers of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, in Beijing," Zakharova said. 
She added that participants in the meeting will "exchange opinions on key issues on international agenda, issues of ensuring regional security, countering new threats and challenges." "Special attention will be paid to increasing practical cooperation in the framework of the Conference, as well as to prospects of improving this mechanism," the diplomat said.
