Arab Parliament to elect speaker

The Arab Parliament (AP) will convene a procedural session Saturday to elect a speaker and his deputies, as well as heads of the four permanent committees.
The procedural session will be preceded by a general session for new members to take oath, according to an AP statement.
The four committees are set to meet on the same day right after the procedural session, the statement said.
The AP office will hold a meeting on Friday to prepare for the procedural session.
