The United Arab Emirates, represented by the National Media Council and private media organisations, has won 22 awards at the 14th Gulf Radio and Television Festival, which concluded today.

Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Bahraini Information Minister and President of the 14th Gulf Radio and Television Festival, presented winners with the awards at a special ceremony.

Official delegations from Arab countries, including the six members of the Cooperation Council for Arab States of the Gulf, and officials of the Gulf Radio and TV Authority, organisers of the event, attended the closing award ceremony.

The festival opened on Monday with the theme "One Media Vision", which underlines the need for a unified discourse for the region's media.
