Tunisian president receives UN special representative for Mali

Tunisian President Béji Caid Essebsi met, Friday in Carthage, with Mongi Hamdi, Special Representative of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General for Mali, TAP news agency reported.
The UN official submitted a request to Tunis for the participation of Tunisian security forces in the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Mali.
He said he informed Essebsi of peaceful settlement reached by conflicting parties in Mali.
This agreement will be signed shortly, he said.
