Speaker receives Indonesian ambassador

Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Malla received Indonesian Ambassador to Bahrain Nur Syahrir Rahardjo and discussed with him ways of boosting bilateral cooperation mainly in the parliamentary field. He lauded strong and growing relations between both countries, stressing the key role of the Indonesian community in the kingdom's development process.
The Indonesian ambassador stressed his country's keenness on Bahrain's security and stability and on bolstering bilateral cooperation mainly in the economic, investment and parliamentary field.
A Bahraini parliamentary delegation, headed by the Representatives Council Speaker, paid a visit to Indonesia last April and signed a memorandum of cooperation and understanding with the Indonesian parliament.
