President of the Senate, Faisal al-Fayez, on Tuesday, conveyed a letter from His Majesty King Abdullah II to King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifah of Bahrain on bilateral ties and ways to cement them.

During the meeting, they discussed Jordanian-Bahraini relations and a number of regional issues, including the Syrian refugee crisis and the war on terrorism. Al-Fayez said Jordan, which has been bearing a massive burden arising from the Syrian refugee crisis, needs help and support from other Arab countries and international community.

Al-Fayez and King Hamad also explored means to forging closer economic cooperation between the two countries.
