HE the Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah met today with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius during the visit he is now paying to Paris.

During the meeting they discussed relations between the two friendly countries and means of developing them and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern as well as the latest developments in the region.

The two sides underlined the depth of relations between the State of Qatar and the French Republic, stressing the two governments' keenness to develop and enhance cooperation in various fields for the interest of the two countries and their peoples.

The two sides also underlined the importance of providing support to all regional and international efforts aimed to settle security, peace and stability in the region and of assisting their countries to counter all threats and challenges.
