Qatari Amir Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met in the Italian capital, Rome, with President of the Italian Senate Senator Pietro Grasso.
They discussed ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in various fields. Senator Pietro Grasso underlined Italy 's support to Qatar to host the World Cup for Football 2022.
They also discussed the latest regional and international developments, mainly the situation in the Middle East, and ways of achieving security and stability.
