Minister receives University College chairman

Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University College of Bahrain Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
Dr. Mirza praised the activities and programmes of the college aimed at enhancing the status of higher education in Bahrain.
He also praised the initiative of the college in the use of solar energy by installing solar panels on the campus and rationalise the use of electric power.
The minister said such an initiative contribute to achieving national goals in the use of renewable energy and raise the efficiency of energy use in Bahrain besides promoting the keen interest of Bahrain’s leadership in encouraging the use of clean energy.
Shaikh Khalid thanked the minister for the welcome and the hospitality and for his support in helping activate and use renewable energy in buildings and facilities.
