Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz on Wednesday received a message from King Mohammed VI of Morocco pertaining to ties between the two countries and means of boosting them.

    The Mauritanian president received the message as he met Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane.

    Speaking after the meeting, Benkirane said the Moroccan king pays special attention to the development of ties with Mauritania.

    King Mohammed VI had made a phone call with the Mauritanian president, in which he reiterated the good neighborliness and solidarity ties between the two countries.

    The king stressed in the call that Morocco recognizes Mauritania's territorial unity in line with international law standards.
