Kuwaiti emir meets UN secretary general

Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah received Sunday United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting Kuwait.

The UN chief posted the Kuwaiti emir about the outcome of consultations between the Yemeni parties pertaining to achieving a political solution to the ongoing conflict in the Arab country and efforts exerted to settle the crisis peacefully to attain security as well as stability for the Yemeni people.

He hailed the keenness of Kuwait on resuming these consultations to achieve peace.

The two sides probed also the latest regional and international developments.

The Kuwaiti emir bestowed the UN secretary general a decoration in appreciation to his unique efforts in the political domain and the services he offers to attain peace.

The meeting was attended by number of Kuwaiti high-level officials.
