Gargash meets U.S. Special Representative for Syria

Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has met with U.S. Special Representative for Syria James Jeffrey on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.
They discussed the latest developments in the Syrian arena and a number of issues of mutual interest.
Gargash emphasised the UAE's unwavering and supportive stance for restoration of security and stability in Syria and stressed the need to put an end to the crisis through a comprehensive political dialogue.
He also pointed out the country's support for the efforts of Staffan de Mistura, UN Special Envoy for Syria for a successful political process in Syria.
