Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz received in Riyadh on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh.

Judeh conveyed to the Saudi monarch an invitation from His Majesty King Abdullah II to attend the Arab Summit that will be hosted by Jordan next March.

The minister also conveyed to King Salman the greetings of His Majesty as well as his wishes of progress and prosperity to the Saudi people.

The Saudi monarch voiced pride in the brotherly ties with His Majesty, noting that the summit provides an opportunity for Arab countries to discuss challenges facing the region, enhance Arab cooperation and settle disputes.

King Salman also expressed appreciation of King's Abdullah efforts to achieve security and stability, address challenges and coordinate with Saudi Arabia in this regard.

The Saudi Monarch also condemned the recent terrorist attack in the southern city of Karak, and offered his condolences to His Majesty and the Jordanian people. Her said the security of both Jordan and Saudi Arabia is a joint priority.

Later, Judeh met with his Saudi counterpart Adel Al-Jubeir and discussed with him Jordanian-Sties as well as the need to continue coordination and consultations on various regional issues. They also reviewed efforts to counter terrorist and extremism.

The two ministers also discussed the Palestinian issue, the latest developments in Syria and their humanitarian impact on the Kingdom, which is hosting a large number of refugees.
