Egyptian cabinet holds weekly meeting

The Cabinet held its weekly meeting on Tuesday to probe a number of political, economic, social and security files.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, also discusses preparations for the third meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi coordination council, which takes place in January.
It follows up progress achieved to carry out mega national projects, mainly the one-and-a-half-million feddans reclamation and the Suez Canal corridor development projects.
The Cabinet reviews reports on the semi-final draft of the government platform that will be submitted to the newly-elected House of Representatives.
It resumes discussions on laws related to the media and press for their issuance in the coming period.
