Deputy Prime Minister HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa has received United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) President Miroslav Lajcak, on the occasion of his participation in the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum2017 hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

HH Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Advisor of HRH the Prime Minister, and Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa were also present during the meeting.

During the meeting, various regional and international issues were reviewed.

HH Shaikh Mohammed affirmed the UNGA’s role in supporting collective international work, praising the ongoing cooperation between the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Kingdom of Bahrain in boosting the Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) contribution to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

President of UNGA thanked the deputy PM for his welcoming reception, expressing his delight to participate in the World Forum, praising the advanced level of cooperation between Bahrain and the United Nations.
