For his part, Prince Zeid commended the tireless efforts of the Arab Parliament and its speaker to protect the rights of the Syrian refugees, praising the initiative of the Arab Parliament. He pledged to work together with the Arab Parliament to implement this initiative.

Al Jarwan also met with Filippo Grandi, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and reviewed with him the Arab Parliament initiative on protection of the rights of the Syrian refugees.
