Turkish year of culture in China

Turkish State Opera and Ballet artists performed "The Abduction from the Seraglio", an opera by the Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in Beijing on the sidelines of the Turkish Culture Year in the People's Republic of China. Chinese people were highly interested in the program performed at the National Grand Theatre of China in Beijing in four languages _ Turkish, German, English and Chinese. Around 140 artists from the Turkish State Opera and Ballet participated in the opera. "The Abduction from the Seraglio" was performed by a group of foreign artists in China fort the first time. The opera which was first played in Vienna in 1782 has been performed by the Turkish State Opera and Ballet since 2000.
