Sharjah - WAM

Sharjah Children Biennial, SCB, organised by Sharjah Children Centres, SCC, is to take part in the ninth edition of Abu Dhabi Art Fair with an impressive array of artwork created by children and young adults aged 6 to 18 years. Fifteen pieces will be offered for sale, with proceeds going to Jordan’s Zaatari Refugee Camp via The Big Heart Foundation, in line with SCB’s #Year of Giving initiatives.

The SCB stand at the fair, taking place from 8th - 11th November at Manarat Al Saadiyat in the capital, Abu Dhabi, showcases the youngsters’ creative talents, expressing their dreams and highlighting their ambitions and aspirations for their communities. The pieces illustrate that a child’s imagination goes far beyond the boundaries of the real world, in perfect alignment with the theme of the fifth edition of SCB, ‘A World as Big as your Imagination’.

The fifth edition of SCB took place from 5th January to 15th February 2017, and featured 376 pieces of art created by children from all over the world in three categories: architecture design, environment, and fantasy and reality.

SCB is held once every two years under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and wife of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah.
