Algiers - APS

President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Tuesday has instructed the Government to complete the programme of "Constantine, Capital of Arab Culture 2015" event, which will kick off in April 2015.
Speaking at a Council of Ministers, President Bouteflika instructed the Government to "complete the programme" of this major cultural event with "activities relating to the glorious Revolution of November 1954 in order to highlight the sacrifices of our people to the foreign visitors."
The Head of State also underlined the need to "highlight the Arab solidarity with our national liberation struggle, which was celebrated and supported by many cultural achievements in Arab countries," said the communiqué of the Council of Ministers, after the examination of a report on the preparations for the event.
President Bouteflika also instructed the Government "to hold in other cities of the country" the different activities scheduled as part of this major cultural event, which will include exhibitions, shows and seminars.
In addition to activities showing the cultural diversity of Arab countries, this event will be also an opportunity to rehabilitate the historic cultural heritage of Constantine and the building of new infrastructures in this eastern province of the country.
