Iraqi Tourism Minister Adel Shershab
Moscow - MENA

In an interview with Russian news agency Sputnik, Iraqi Tourism Minister Adel Shershab said that Iraq lost over 150,000 artifacts that were stolen from the Iraqi museum in 2003 and was able to restore 4,300 pieces only.
Daesh also stole pieces from and destroyed many archeological sites in the places that it controls, Shershab said.
An international resolution was issued in 2015 incriminating the sale of Iraqi antiquities and petroleum by Daesh, he said.
