Khalid bin Hamad youth theatre award approved

First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has approved the “Khalid bin Hamad” Youth Theatre Award for Clubs and Youth Centres, launched by the General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS) for the aim of discovering and nurturing theatre youth talents in the kingdom. On the occasion, Shaikh Khalid expressed his sincere appreciation for the essential role played by GOYS, led by its President Hesham Mohammed Al-Jowdar, to take care of Bahraini youngsters and embrace their creative talents, affirming that the Award reflects interest in theatre as a tributary of educational and enlightening thought nd testifies to the kingdom’s position as a modern country. Shaikh Khalid called upon clubs and youth centres across the kingdom to participate in the award, expressing confidence in the Bahraini youths’ ability to be creative in all fields of theatre such as acting, and script-writing.
