The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has inaugurated the 'Katara Arabic Language Festival', in the presence of Katara's General Manager Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti.
The festival themed 'Promoting Arabic: A collective responsibility', is one of the many initiatives of Katara to preserve Arab cultural identity and promote Arabic language, while at the same time providing an enriching experience for the community, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).

The inauguration of the festival on Sunday witnessed a large number of enthusiastic school students eager to learn fascinating facts about the Arabic Language in a fulfilling technique.

Dr Al-Sulaiti said "The festival comes in line with Katara's vision and mission to stress the importance of preserving the Arab cultural identity, and nurture it through organizing and hosting several events around the year."

"Katara has prepared a full-fledged interactive programme that lives up to the importance of the Katara Arabic Language Festival and its noble goals focusing on preserving and promoting Arabic language as the revival of the languages reflect on the strength of their nations," he added.

Katara Arabic Language Festival is scheduled to continue until the December 15 at Katara's Wisdom Square and is expected to attract a large number of school students, families and enthusiasts of Arabic language and literature, QNA reported
