Grand Egyptian museum to open 2022

The Grand Egyptian Museum will be fully opened in 2022, said Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damaty.
The ministry is working in full swing in order to finalize this mega project, which is considered one of the most important antiquities projects.
The partial opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum will be in May 2018, he added.
Meanwhile, the Grand Egyptian Museum received Thursday 247 artifacts from the holdings of the museum inventory no 2 in the Saqqara antiquities area.
The move came in order to start maintenance work and the necessary preparations in order to enroll these artifacts among the display Inventory of the museum.
