Egyptian Trade Plenipotentiary Minister and head of the economic and trade office at the Egyptian embassy in China Ayman Ali Othman praised Egypt's participation in the 2nd round of China-Arab States Economic and Trade Fair held in Ningxia over the past two days.

In statements to MENA, Othman said Egypt's First Undersecretary for Trade and Industry, Small and Medium-Scale Projects Ali Al Leithi and Director of the International Fairs Sector at the Egyptian General Authority for Conferences and Exhibitions Mohammad Abdel Wahid took part in several activities of the fair.

Leithi delivered Egypt's speech at the fair and uncovered potentials of investment, technology transfer, automobile industry as well as other domains of mutual interest.

He also shed light on China's initiative to build a new economic belt via reviving the old Silk Road in the 21st century and China's resolve to contribute with new investments in the Suez Canal Axis region.

The fair was attended by Jordanian King Abdullah II and Mauritanian President Mohammad Ould Abdel Aziz.

More than 70 countries, regions and international organizations took part in the exhibition.
